I was born in Sweden and trained as an occupational therapist in London. I lived in Mexico City for some years and then in Barcelona where I studied art at the Escuela Massana and with Kim Camps as well as doing screen printing from home. I then moved to Stirling and following early retirement took up painting again.
Although I have exhibited and sold in Scottish galleries I basically paint for pleasure and for the fun of creating work that might also appeal to others.
My pictures tend to be organic and are based on natural forms. I mostly work in oils, with glazes for depth, on canvas or on board but I also enjoy making collages, prints and using transparencies on photographs. Often my materials are recycled and my inspiration comes from the surrounding landscape and from my travels.
